Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Hipp AI ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when contacting us through our website or phone system. This may include your first name, last name, email address, phone number, company name, and a description of what you are looking to solve. We collect only what is necessary to respond to your inquiry.

How We Use Your Information

Information you provide is used exclusively to: follow up on your inquiry, schedule strategy calls, and deliver any content you explicitly requested (such as an SMS link during a phone call). We do not use your data for advertising, resale, or any purpose beyond serving your request.

SMS Communications

Hipp AI sends SMS messages only when a caller explicitly requests a link during an active phone call with our AI assistant. This is a one-time, transactional message. We do not send recurring marketing texts. Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately. See our SMS Policy for full details.

Data Storage

Submitted information is stored securely in our internal systems, including Supabase (a managed cloud database) and a private Google Sheet accessible only to Hipp AI staff. Data is retained only as long as needed to serve your request or fulfill a business relationship.

Client AI Assistants

For clients who engage us to build an AI assistant, that assistant runs on a computer dedicated to that client alone and works only with the material the client sends it — for example, receipts a client emails or texts to their own bookkeeping assistant. One client's assistant has no route to another client's data. Client business records are processed to produce the outputs the client asked for and are not used for advertising, resale, or any other purpose.

Google User Data

Where a client connects a Google account, we request the narrowest scope that does the job. Our bookkeeping assistant requests only drive.file, which is per-file access limited to files the assistant itself creates. It cannot open, list, or detect any other file in the connected Drive. Files it creates are created in the client's own Drive and owned by the client, not by Hipp AI. We do not request access to Gmail, Contacts, or Calendar for this product. A client may revoke access at any time, without contacting us, at myaccount.google.com/permissions; revoking stops any further writes and the client keeps every file already created.

Limited Use of Google Data

Hipp AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the features the client requested; we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not allow humans to read it except with the client's explicit consent, for security or to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymised.

AI Model Providers

Our assistants use third-party AI models to read documents and draft output, which means the content of a processed document is transmitted to that provider for inference. We use commercial API terms under which customer content is not used to train the provider's models. Files themselves remain in the client's own storage; it is the content being processed that is transmitted. We consider it important that clients understand this distinction rather than assume nothing leaves their environment.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers (e.g., email delivery, scheduling tools) strictly for the purpose of fulfilling your request, under appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use minimal analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies or sell browsing data.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
